The mission of Student Legal Services is to provide confidential legal advice, counsel and representation to the students of Colorado State University, and serve as an educational resource to the University and the community. The program is service-oriented and provides, through the participant’s experience, insight into, and education about, the legal rights and responsibilities of a contributing member of society.

Our philosophical foundation is that awareness of, and access to, the protection and benefits of the legal system should not be limited by the income of the individual. Education contributes to an enlightened citizenry and enhances the University goal of student retention by assisting in the resolution of legal problems whose financial, emotional or criminal consequences may lead to early withdrawal.
