Estate Documents & Powers of Attorney

As a CSU student, our office can help you plan for situations in which you cannot handle your own student or business affairs. We can give you legal advice so that people close to you can be legally empowered to act on your behalf if necessary.

Below are some of the most common documents we prepare for CSU students.

Powers of Attorney

A power of attorney is a legal document that gives a person trusted by you the authority to act for you if you are alive but unable to make decisions or act for yourself. There are two different types of powers of attorney our office provides assistance with: a durable (financial) power of attorney and a medical power of attorney.

Simple Will

A will enables you to direct how you want assets, care for children, property, investments, and more to be handled. Our office can draft this document for you. This service is charged a fee of $50 for a single person and $80 for a married couple. Only one person in the couple needs to be a CSU student to be eligible for this service.

How to Make an Appointment

Eligible students may call our office at (970) 491-1482 or click the link below for a confidential screening. Please call from a place where you can speak freely and be prepared to provide your contact information and details of your situation, including the names of all parties involved. A typical screening takes approximately 10-20 minutes.
