Assistance to Survivors

Student Legal Services can advise survivors regarding legal and university processes, victim impact statements, no contact orders, civil protection orders, and other related matters. When SLS has a conflict of interest, SLS will work to support the student with referrals to other CSU support services, advocacy programs, community programs, and potentially the victim advocacy program through the District Attorney’s office.

ELIGIBILITY

Student Legal Services is fully funded by student fees. If you are a CSU undergraduate or graduate student taking in-person classes (full or part-time), you have already paid the SLS student fee. Students who are continuous registration may access SLS services by paying the semester fee (please inquire with SLS about the fee amount). In rare instances when SLS has excess capacity, SLS may assist a recent graduate for a fee of $20. Services are not available for non-students.
