Information shared between attorney and client, in seeking legal advice, is protected by the attorney-client privilege and is confidential. You, the client, hold this privilege. The attorney is not permitted to share your information with any other individual or entity without your informed consent.
When you choose to allow a third party (another individual) to join your appointment in Student Legal Services and/or share what was discussed with others following the appointment, the attorney-client privilege may be waived.
